Rolling Hills Asylum is steeped in history and mystery! Established in 1827, the Genesee County Poor House (originally a working farm) soon became a refuge for some of society's less fortunate. Widows and orphans mingled with the mentally ill and the unclaimed dead were buried on the property.
The facility is old, historical, and includes many flights of stairs. It is suggested you have the ability to walk up to one+ miles including stairs, unassisted.
Plan to arrive between 15 & 30 minutes early. This affords you enough time to park your vehicles, gather all your equipment, and be in line with your Valid ID and Pre-Paid Confirmation Ticket. Most tours & hunts include a guided walking tour that winds through the 54,000 square feet facility and focuses on the historical and paranormal history of the property, be certain to read the Rules.
